About Erasmus+ Capacity Building programme

INSSPIRE project is funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in higher education programme which supports international and multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of higher education. The planned project will be within “STRAND 2: partnerships for transformation” and have a regional focus on “Sustainable growth and jobs”. The transformation envisaged in this project can be explained from two different perspectives.

Academic perspective

the need to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in university teaching, i.e., transform Higher Education (HE) programmes by integrating SDGs into curricula.

Societal perspective

the need to transform current unbalanced food systems into sustainable, climate-sensitive food systems and address the high demand in the labour market for professionals to facilitate such a transformation.

Therefore, the planned project combines these two perspectives and seeks to enrich HE curricula with modules on SDG-related challenges and opportunities related to “food systems” and “climate change”. In doing so, it works towards the project’s general objective which is to prepare students of HEIs for labour market success, by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills, to take on different leadership roles in the transformation of food systems and adjustment to climate change thus contributing to sustainable growth.
